Edmonton Arts Council
The Edmonton Arts Council offers a broad range of grants and services to Edmonton artists and arts and festival organizations.
Edmonton Poetry Festival
In addition to their week-long schedule of outstanding poetry-focused events every spring during the festival itself, the Edmonton Poetry Festival Society is committed to promoting the art and fun of poetry in Edmonton on a year-round basis.
Edmonton Story Slam
The Edmonton Story Slam Society was launched in February 2006 and officially became a not for profit organization in 2008. This is a grass roots organization run by volunteers who love stories. They run reading events on the third Wednesday of every month at Haven Social Club.
EPL Writer in Residence
The Edmonton Public Library’s Writer in Residence program provides services to aspiring and established writers in the Edmonton area including individual manuscript consultations, public readings and talks, information on the publishing process and connections to the writing community.
Writers Guild of Alberta
The Writers Guild of Alberta is a provincial arts service organization that represents both professional and emerging writers in Alberta. Their mission is to inspire, connect, support, encourage and promote writers and writing, to safeguard the freedom to write and to read, and to advocate for the well-being of writers.
